Walk Away
J. Smetana

You can’t stop... you can’t stop you just do it again
You’re on top... you’re on top of all of your friends
What makes you do the things you do, how could you say the things you say
I know it’s all a game but it’s over, it’s over

One love for history, that’s what you mean to me
And all I have to say, I’ll never walk away from you

There’s no need... there’s no need you don’t have to explain
It’s all me... it’s all me and now I’m feeling the pain
What makes you do the things you do, how could you say the things you say
I know it’s all a game but it’s over, it’s over

What makes you do the things you do, how could you say the things you say
I know it’s all a game but it’s over, it’s over

One love for history, that’s what you mean to me
And all I have to say, I’ll never walk away from you

I blew my cover on the 4th of July
I saw you smiling while they light up the sky
So take your time and don’t you tell me no lie
Only the truth baby I won’t cry

*Walk Away- "We wanted this to sound Cheap-Trickish, and I think the main guitar riff is a good example of that style. The dynamic range of the song is pretty good, it gives it a lot more space than the original arrangement. Cameron did a great job on all the Maple sessions, this song in particular came alive after the mix. There isn’t a lot of story behind it, just some phrases that came out when we were working it up started to fit together. Sort of a lost love, stalker type thing. The guy is kind of lacking in self-esteem and won’t let it go...I really like this song for it’s sweetness and pure-pop signature. A nice ditty"- Jeff
